The 38th Winternationals at
Willowbank Raceway, saw the culmination of the fundraising efforts of Brett and
Kath Stevens, their sponsors, staff and
their supporters who raised $100,000.00, for the Foundation throughout 2005.
Brett promised to cut off his trademark pony tail, if he could get the donations
to the targeted $100,000.00. He achieved the target and off came the pony
tail on the start line at Willowbank, before the finals, on June 12th .
Brett met Dylan, a young cancer sufferer, when
he took one of his Jack Daniel's drag cars to The Mater Hospital in Brisbane.
Brett invited Dylan and his family to Willowbank, to be part of the day and
Dylan ended up being the one to make the chop. Dylan was also given the
privilege of sitting in the bos's hot seat, in Australia's current champion Top
Doorslammer, the Jack Daniel's Studebaker.

hand makes the chop, Brett is the worried one.
