Financial Counsellors

Parents and individuals should always seek a counselling service that is right for their circunstances.  As a Public Benevolent Institution helping families of children with cancer and the children's hospitals they are treated in, we do not provide professional financial counselling ourselves, however there are many professional financial counselling services available to families and individuals.

We advise parents in the first instance to consult with their asigned oncology social worker as these professionals have the experience to point you in the right direction in the area where you live, or where your child is treated.

'Financial Counselling Australia' can provide a free service in an area close to you.  Visit their page to find a counsellor: http://www.financialcounsellingaustralia.org.au/Corporate/Find-a-Counsellor

Parents can also the service provided by Wesley Financial Counselling:  http://www.wesleymission.org.au/home/our-services/wesley-counselling-services/wesley-financial-counselling/welcome-to-wesley-financial-counselling/

Wesley Financial Counselling was first established as Wesley CreditLine in 1980 in response to an increasing number of calls to Wesley Mission’s Lifeline telephone counselling service that were financially based problems. Funding was obtained from the NSW Department of Community Services and Wesley CreditLine was set up.

Wesley Mission’s Financial Counsellors are professionally qualified, experienced Financial Counsellors. They are accredited members of the Financial Counsellors Association of NSW, Inc (FCAN).
