Family Financial Assistance
Speak to your Social Worker or Welfare Officer about your financial situation and discuss your concerns. If you are eligible, your Social Worker or Welfare Officer will refer you to us for approval.
Once approved, you will receive confirmation and instructions on how to apply through our online portal, via an email from your referring health professional.
Unfortunately not – the funds we hold in trust for families are only available to families that do not have access to ANY other funds to pay their bills, including but not limited to savings, redraw on their mortgage and fundraising pages like GoFundMe.
We are only able to accept 1 application per week per family due to the large number of requests we receive nationwide. This ensures that the limited funds we have are allocated fairly across the country.
There is a current $2,000 dollar limit per family to ensure we reach as many families as possible.
No. Funds to cover rent can only be paid into a Real Estate Agent’s business account, not into a private account.
As long as the “billing period” has commenced after diagnosis and it is in the child’s, parent’s or guardian’s name, you may be able to access financial assistance for bills such as car registration, insurance and fuel, utilities, rent or mortgage payments, and other household bills. Our foundation also supports families with funeral expenses.
Unfortunately we cannot cover medical expenses at this time.
Yes, Woolworths vouchers are available for groceries only.
Yes, prepaid Ampol vouchers are available for fuel only.

No, financial support is for the family’s primary residence only.
No, we only can help with living expenses.
No, we can only pay current bills received during your child's treatment.
No. All bills must be in the legal parent or guardian's name only.
No, we are unable to provide financial support towards any medical-related bills including private health insurance.
Yes, support is available for bills incurred during the treatment period only. Any bills incurred after treatment has finished, any forward paying bills or vouchers are not supported.
No. Ronald McDonald House is a charity too, therefore we don’t give our charitable funds to another charity.
Yes, there is a $2,000 limit per family over a twelve month period commencing from the date of referral to Kids With Cancer Foundation (not calendar year).
We aim to approve requests within 48 hours and have them paid just as quickly or closer to the due date to give families peace of mind.

Care Packs 4 Kids
Our care packs are delivered to paediatric oncology wards around Australia (except for WA). Please check with the ward or treatment room you attend if you would like to receive a care pack.
Wigs4Kids™
Kids with Cancer Foundation receives hair donations to be made into bespoke wigs by our wigmaker for children who have lost their hair due to cancer treatment. Please speak to your Hospital Social Worker or Welfare Worker if you would like to apply for this program.
