Shining a light on Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

Volunteer 4 Us

Volunteering for Kids with Cancer Foundation is fun, flexible, rewarding and makes a real impact on the lives of kids

We’re so excited you’re interested in getting involved with our volunteer program. Every bit of support helps us make today easier for kids with cancer and their families — and we couldn’t do it without people like you. Whether you’re ready to jump in or just exploring what’s possible, we’ve made it easy to get started below.

Why volunteer?

Our volunteers are the cornerstone of our mission to make today easier for kids with cancer and their families. By generously offering your time, skills and enthusiasm, we can positively impact more kids, more often. Volunteer today and bring hope, joy, and support to those who need it most!

School holiday workshops

We welcome students who are caring and supportive to join our volunteer crew during the school holidays or volunteer for us as part of your Duke of Ed voluntary service requirement.

Duke of Edinburgh Award

Kids with Cancer Foundation is proud to collaborate with the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award to create meaningful opportunities for young people to give back to their community while building valuable life skills.

Through a range of hands-on volunteer activities such as making phone calls, packing Care Packs, writing heartfelt cards to children in hospital, assisting with inventory, preparing for events, gift wrapping, collecting donations and creating crafts, students gain real-world experience in teamwork, communication and service.

These roles help develop confidence in public speaking, strengthen computer and Canva skills, and build important capabilities such as time management and project coordination.

At the heart of this partnership is the powerful idea of kids helping kids. By supporting families facing childhood cancer, students see firsthand how compassion and generosity can make a difference in someone’s day. Our team are deeply invested in helping students reach their highest potential while learning about the impact of philanthropy.

For participants completing the Duke of Edinburgh Award, volunteering with Kids with Cancer Foundation provides a meaningful way to fulfil the program’s Service component, while gaining skills, perspective and a lifelong appreciation for community involvement.
