City2Surf 2024 – A record breaking effort for Kids with Cancer
It was an incredible feat, the inspirational Team KWCF joining together to make today easier for kids with cancer. A total of $65,750 was raised, our biggest year yet!
On a stunning Sydney day, 93,000 cups of water were handed out by 85 dedicated volunteers. With 240 participants, including 25 teams and 18 Superstars, they conquered the 14 km City2Surf 2024 course. These incredible individuals raised essential funds that will directly support children with cancer and their families nationwide.
This year, we saw Top Individual Fundraiser Josh Byrne Running for Reason – Kids With Cancer Foundation Australia
We were also lucky enough to have Top Fundraising Team BMS x Collation with 16 participants raise funds for Kids with Cancer Foundation.
Nuskin joined us in the VIP marquee, giving massages to runners and donating some of their beautiful products.
We were joined by our passionate volunteers who looked after the drink station and cheered our runners on at the finish line.
We want to thank everyone involved including our corporate partners who donated some amazing products from: Mars Wrigley, Health Lab, Jelly Belly and Banana Boat.
The funds raised from City2Surf will go to KWCF’s five charitable programs, this includes family financial assistance, key clinical positions, cancer research, wigs4kids and carepacks4kids. This will ensure that families facing cancer diagnosis are supported on their journey, and that we continue to invest in the future of better care for children.
We are extremely proud of everyone’s rallying efforts and coming together for a cause, particularly during such a difficult time of the cost-of living crisis.
A national charity, KWCF supports approximately 250 children and adolescents with cancer and their families each year in paediatric oncology units across the country. The Kids with Cancer Foundation have been there for families for over 26 years, and we could not continue without our generous supporters. A huge thank you again to all our supporters and donors who came together for kids with cancer.
