Davistown Putt Putt Regatta & Wooden Boat Festival
October 14th - 15th 2023- Kids with Cancer Heritage Ferry Challenge and Putt About – Saturday 14th October
Over 400 years of maritime history battled it out in the inaugural Heritage Ferry Challenge in 2019, and it’s about to happen again! Everyone is invited to watch the action from vantage points along the water, starting and ending at the Gosford Sailing Club, with public tickets available aboard some of the in-survey vessels (coming soon…)
For the first time, we are inviting partners to take part in this unique Ferry Challenge through sponsoring the Heritage Ferries.
A minimum of 10 Heritage Ferries are expected to participate in the 2023 Challenge. Each sponsor will have its own ferry to support, as well as tickets to be on board the Sorrento spectator vessel to watch the Challenge from the water. Sponsorship funds raised will go to support our Kids with Cancer Foundation programs, so it will be a great day out for a great cause! - Putt Putt Regatta & Wooden Boat Festival – Sunday 15th October
“Regattas have been held at Davistown since the early 1900’s and celebrate the boat building history of the region”
The Davistown Putt Putt Regatta & Wooden Boat Festival celebrates the boat-building history of the Central Coast, Sydney, NSW and Australia. Hundreds of putt putts, wooden boats and several Heritage Ferries take to the water at Davistown in an incredible display of boating action. Onshore, the Festival includes market stalls, lots of entertainment for all ages, and plenty of food and drink options. A gold coin donation (or $2 tap!) grants the whole family entry to the festival – with this donation going straight to support kids with cancer.
A fun day out for the whole family.. with more details to come!
